Get your fill of brownies at the Shore this weekend ... if you dare.
Two Days: MuckFest, brownies, art and an old-fashioned church festival
A fan of the chocolate brownie? You may want to head for Manasquan today.
Chocolate Bar, a candy store with locations in Manhattan and Manasquan, will host a browning-eating contest that asks participants to demonstrate how many they can wolf down in a 5-minute period. Proceeds go to SquanStrong, a group working to rebuild Manasquan after Hurricane Sandy. The brownies are touted as "not too moist or too cakey."
4 p.m. to 8 p.m., SquanStrong's Tailgate on the Square. Children 12 and under can get in on the brownie mania at 5 p.m., while teens and adults compete at 6 p.m. Entry fee $10; entry to the SquanStrong tailgate is $50, available at Chocolate Bar, 140 Main St. and Parker Avenue, Manasquan.
